(SeaWorld Orlando, Media Night) We were able to get a sneak peak into SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration 2022 and it is certainly a seasonal event you won't want to miss!
Scheduled to run nightly until January 3 2023, the park transforms into a winter-themed experience, fun for the entire family. When the lights go down each evening, park guests are immersed in either Christmas lights, faux snow flurries, or able to purchase some of the very tasty treats spread out across the (14) food stations throughout the park. For a nominal upgrade, one can also opt to have breakfast with Sesame Street characters, or have dinner with Santa.
There's a Christmas Parade, a Christmas show with Elmo and a few of Elmo's buddies. For another upgrade, you can rent some ice skates and skate at Bayside Stadium. You can meet some very interesting characters who greet you along the paths within the park, or you can meet a very special reindeer with a red nose if you're lucky enough to find him!
During Media Night, we checked out 'O Wondrous Night' which brought to life the Nativity story through the eyes of some unique animal characters. This one featured powerful voices of a full-blown choir on stage, and there's a huge surprise finale at the end which is amazing to behold!
There's a beautiful Sea of Trees display, contained within the lagoon, and once the park closes on these special nights, there's a spectacular Fireworks Finale titled 'Holiday Reflections' which gloriously lightens up the entire sky.
This is one of the more impressive theme park holiday events we've attended in central Florida, and although we had several hours to check out the event, it was not nearly enough time given the breadth of experiences to take in. There's a ton of things to see and do, and SeaWorld provides some serious value vs. its competitors.
A+ to SeaWorld on this one. Definitely, we would highly recommend checking this out!
