Celebration Exotic Car Festival (2015)
(Celebration FL) The 12th annual Celebration Exotic Car Festival (April 9 – 12, 2015) was a culmination of Good Vibrations, Happy Days, and Full Houses.
It’s pretty difficult to focus on any one highlight of the event. For starters, at Saturday’s ‘Concourse of Exotic Cars’, downtown Celebration was lined with some of the most beautiful exotic autos the Southeast has ever had on any of its roads: Bugattis, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis were in high abundance, and thanks to their owners who proudly displayed their showpieces alongside more than 250 others, spectators could get up and close and personal to the vehicles at this FREE auto show, ranked in the top 5 best exotic car shows in the world (according to Made Man Magazine). If sitting inside one of these cockpits that cost more than my house wasn’t your thing, then maybe finding a wandering celebrity walking amongst the cars would be more your speed – actors CARL WEATHERS, CHRIS MCDONALD, and CLAUDIA WELLS were familiar faces touring this year’s event, and have been regular annual attendees at this event, of which 100% of all net proceeds are donated to children’s charities such as Make-A-Wish, Special Olympics, and the Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital organizations.

The event has garnered so much attention that it was able to reunite the cast of the classic television series, Happy Days! At Saturday’s car display HENRY WINKLER (‘Fonzie’), DONNY MOST (‘Ralph Malph’), and ANSON WILLIAMS (‘Potsie’) were on hand to take photographs and sign autographs in their efforts to raise money for the event. Attendees could even take a group photo in front of Ralph Malph’s custom hot rod from the Happy Days show!
Some lucky car show-goers were able to catch a glimpse of the Happy Days cast the night prior at the Hard Rock Live venue (Universal Studios CityWalk) when the cast made an onstage appearance during the event’s musical concert featuring none other than the fun surfin’ BEACH BOYS!!! During their performance, a historical slide show of the group’s most favorite memories displayed in the backdrop behind the drummer… but if one looked very closely, they may have noticed that the drummer was JOHN STAMOS, whose Uncle Jesse Katsopolis character on the popular 80’s sitcom Full House once featured Stamos jamming out with the Beach Boys causing them to remain in touch ever since.

I have been a regular attendee for the past few years of these events, and would strongly encourage anyone to come out for a very good time. Each year features a musical concert, celebrity appearances, and very well-populated roster of exotic autos with which one can get extremely up close and personal. With the 2016 event already scheduled for April 14-17, we can’t wait to see you there!!!
