(Give Kids The World Village, Kissimmee FL) The 2021 Gingerbread Run was held Saturday November 6. After a cold front descended upon central Florida in the days leading up to the event, thankfully spirits and fundraising efforts had a sunny outlook!
The Gingerbread Run is one of Give Kids The World's major fundraising efforts each year. Participants for this year's event left the starting line promptly at 730a, and trekked across the 89-acre property. This year's event was made even more special by giving attendees a sneak peak view into the upcoming Night of a Million Lights display, which made its massively popular debut last year when the location remained closed to Give Kids families due to the pandemic.
Running, or fun-walking, beside larger than life characters and Chick-Fil-A cows, attendees also saw multiple wrestling superstars from WWE NXT, Mr. and Mrs. Gingerbread, visitors from the North Pole, a few superheroes, and even a miniature unicorn!
At the end of the run, top fundraisers for both group and individual were acknowledged and called to the stage, and thus far fundraising efforts had topped the $220k mark!!
Looking forward to seeing all of our viewers at the upcoming Night of a Million Lights event, also to be held at Give Kids The World!
