My wife and I pulled up to the private jet hangar close to Orlando International airport. We pulled up the valet attendants who politely met us at the main entrance of the hangar, while they whisked away our vehicle. At the front door, I was greeted by check-in attendants who professionally greeted me, and verified mine and my wife's names on the VIP list. We were invited to try some food samples by gourmet chefs as we perused high-end watches, with some costing more than both my vehicles combined. A silent auction of autographed sports and movie memorabilia was taking place to my left. Myself, my wife, and a few hundred others were entertained by live music, subtle lighting, and surrounded by the most expensive autos in the Southeast US.
The festivities continued throughout the inside of the hangar, and extended outside as well toward the back of the hangar. Outside, one could sample fancy cigars, and sample more top-shelf alcohol. A beautiful stilt-walker just passed by. Another pair of servers just walked past inviting us to sample more food.
It was very difficult to leave, because I knew that this was a once-in-a-lifetime type of opportunity that only a very few ever having the opportunity to set eyes on something has elite as this. The only thought that helped comfort me we exited was in knowing that these displays would likely be at this weekend's car show. But boy, did this group ever make me feel special in my fancy clothes, getting to play in all of these big-boy toys.
I would strongly encourage ALL of our viewers to try and attend this extremely rate and special event, and take advantage while the opportunity is here. We cannot wait to see the Festivals of Speed car show this weekend at the Ritz Carlton!!
