(Give Kids The World Village, Kissimmee FL) In a happy holidays turn of events, dozens of wrestlers from the WWE / WWE NXT recently visited Give Kids the World Village to spread some holiday cheer to some of the children and their families staying at the complex.
When the buses of wrestlers pulled into the parking lot, small but very excited eyes from the Village became affixed as children eagerly awaited the larger-than-life entertainers who descended onto the property.
The wrestlers were briefed amd orineted in the complex's Town Hall, where they received their instructions and advisements from Give Kids The World leadership.
As wrestlers began to exit the building where they would take their positions amongst several gaming areas, it began to rain, potentially putting a downer on the child-centered festivities.
But the rain delayed NO ONE from the wrestling group with each realizing the importance and impact they were about to make on the lives of the families who were awaiting them. The wrestlers bravely stepped into the rain to greet the tiny faces who were eagerly smiling back at them.
For hours, the Village was packed full of genuine smiles from both the children and their families, but also from the wrestlers themselves.
As the event wrapped up, children could be overheard telling their parents that the Give Kids event was 'even better than DisneyWorld' where some of the families had visited the day prior. Wrestlers then continued their generosity as they walked to the back of the Village complex, where inside one of the Village warehouses, they gently stuffed tiny pillows inside of ornamental pillow cases, which would soon be distributed to the children as keepsakes commemorating their visit.
I sincerely look forward to future events with the WWE / NXT group as it was extremely heart-warming to see these athletes offering up their immensely loving hearts to these children, creating once-in-a-lifetime type memories for everyone in attendance. Together with the wrestlers on this very special day, the Village truly Gave Kids the World.
