(Hard Rock Hotel, Daytona Beach FL) A few weeks back, I had the opportunity to catch Nova Rex performing here in Orlando. Nova Rex is ranked in the top 50 of the greatest Hair Bands of all time, and given their being based now out of Tampa / Daytona, rock n' roll fans have a gem in being able to see them perform live at any number of venues here in central Florida.
Led by co-founder and bassist of the band, Kenny Wilkerson, Nova Rex entertained a very dedicated following of fans this night to raise money toward Autism Awareness as part of thei Hair Metal Mayhem Tour.
Nova Rex definitely plays up the show to its fans, and offers up tons of crowd interaction throughout the show. Just a few weeks ago, we had the chance to see Kenny Wilkerson's Nova Rex leather jacket on permanent display at the Hard Rock in Daytona, and also spoke to Wilkerson about his upcoming book release 'Rockin' Recipes for Autism' which will feature personalized favorite recipes of some of the biggest names in Rock 'n Roll, so be on the lookout for that!
