(EPCOT, Lake Buena Vista) They are, the Cult of Personality. When I first hear rd Living Colour, they blew my mind: extremely complicated guitar solos, powerful and thought-provoking lyrics, and insanely spirited drumming.
At EPCOT's Eat to the Beat concert series, these gentlemen performed 2 nights (Sep. 20 - 21) and attracted some very different characters to the park: the metal heads :) I've watched MANY concerts at EPCOT, especially this year... but I've never seen the metal heads come out to show their support like they did, until Living Colour took to the stage. Now, this group was not your typical Disney-performing group. They have a reputation of playing HARD, and that's just what they did. For us, it was highly entertaining to watch: they were never known to 'back down' or 'tone things down' in any setting. It was somewhat refreshing though to be looking out into the EPCOT sky and hearing guitars being shredded in the background.
We would LOVE to see them come back and perform at Disney again. But it would be AWESOME to see them perform at Hard Rock or House of Blues on their next visit, and be surrounded by more of their fans. These gentlemen are trendsetters, and pioneers. They are legendary icons who will forever leave their mark in the pages of musical history books.
If Disney invites them back, we'll gladly be one of the first ones back in that line!!
