(Amway Center, July 23 2019) With only a few hours shy of turning 50 years old, the ever-young Jennifer Lopez put on an entertainment display, showcasing the former Fly Girl's intricate dance routines, and the Selena-portraying vocalist / actress' tear-emoting vocal capabilities.
J-Lo flawlessly demonstrated her triple-threat talents of being able to sing, dance, and act to a sold-out Amway Center in Orlando FL's Amway Center, one of the final stops of her 32-city 'It's My Party' North American our this summer. With opening acts tonight featuring dancers from her 'World of Dance' competition-based NBC show, the night had an explosive energy start, with featured dancers being primarily children / young adults.
Lopez's burlesque-style opening included her descent from the ceiling via a large ring attach to a wine-glass chandelier. From there, she was quick to jump right into her dance-infused concert routine which spanned just a few minutes over 2 hours long, performing more than 20 of her hits!
Orlando was a special stop: in just a few hours, the dancing diva would actually be turning 50 years old. But tonight she proved that '50' was just a number. She moved better than hip-hopping teens from her dance show, and her mature-rated lap dancing routine was enough to get everyone's pulse racing. Coupled with pyrotechnic displays, fireworks, a ton of outfit changes, and a gigantic birthday cake, the entire Amway was amped to party right alongside her. Working the catwalk and both extremes of the left and right sides of the stage, J-Lo did all that she could to be as close to her fans tonight as possible.
In addition to the dance-driven song beats, Lopez also displayed her vulnerable side, offering up a Sia-written duet 'Limitless' with her Lopez's 11 year-old daughter, Emme, a Sara Bareilles ballad cover of 'Gravity', and a tear-jerking Selena cover of 'Si Una Vez.'
It was a great night of watching, listening, and being a part of this show. Looking forward to seeing J-Lo at her next celebration... happy birthday, Jen!!
