(Clearwater FL) Hulk Hogan is an American icon, a public figure recognizable by almost everyone in the world. His career in professional wrestling began in the late 70's, and he was able to crossover into mainstream television where his personal marketing campaign soared beyond belief.
Hulk Hogan is a long-time resident of Clearwater Beach FL. On the first weekend of September 2012, Hogan's Beach Shop was having a soft opening, available for passersby to stop in for a quick glimpse into some Hulkamania merchandise, and some historically-significant wrestling memorabilia adorned by the Hulkster himself. For a very select few who were there very late on 9/2/12, they had the opportunity to come face to face with the Hulkster as he made a surprise visit to check on the shop.
These shots were taken in Hogan's initial storefront. Months later, the Beach Shop would move to another site in the same building complex in Clearwater. Although similar merchandise can still be found in the current shop, the store as seen in these photos is no more.
