(Give Kids The World Village) When the iconic voices of 'Princess Jasmine' and 'Jafar' from Disney's 'Aladdin' have a speaking event to raise money for a wonderful children's charity, one must attend.
On Saturday August 26, Linda Larkin (the voice of 'Princess Jasmine') and Jonathan Freeman (the voice of 'Jafar') donated a magical evening of wonderous insights, speaking to an intimate gathering of Give Kids The World supporters at the Give Kids The World Village located in Kissimmee, FL. For nearly 2 hours, the audience was treated to an exclusive discussion with the 2 famed Disney voices, and audience members heard of wonderful recollections involving Robin Williams (who played the part of 'Genie' in Aladdin) and Gilbert Gottfried (who voiced the role of the sarcastic parrot, Iago, from the same movie).
During the VIP Meet and Greet, attendees were able to obtain autographs and take photos on stage with Larkin and Freeman prior to the show before the doors opened the general public. Probably our favorite part of the stage show was when each voice actor read lines of the 'other side': it was quite the experience to hear Freeman's wickedly evil voice reading some famous lines of Disney princesses, and it was a very surreal twist to hear the wonderful voice of Larkin's Jasmine reading through quotes made famous through past Disney villains.
The event was moderated by the very talented and familiar face to the Village, Mark Daniel.
