(Orlando FL) Carlos Santana has been mesmerizing audiences for more than 50 years. His performance at Amway Center was nothing short of spectacular where, alongside a fully setup background band, he was able to put entertain spectators for almost 2.5 hours.
He played crowd favorites such as 'Maria Maria', 'Mona Lisa', 'Smooth', and 'Black Magic Woman', but also covered a few others in the form of 'Evil Ways', 'Oye Como Va', and 'Love, Peace, and Happiness'. On stage with him, he alternated between a pair of lead vocalists, 2 percussionists, and an array of other musicians.
If you had a cold drink and were sitting on your porch listening / watching this, you would have never wanted the sun to set. The ambiance was soothing, magical, and took many back to happier times. I was blown away by the musicality and skill he possessed, and as soon as he stepped on stage there was an immediate presence of guitar genius.
Santana is music legend, and I will forever be happy and thankful to have witnessed his concert in person. Beautiful show!
