(Kissimmee FL) We were very honored to be invited the other night to a very special preview to the 'Night of a Million Lights' holiday event at Give Kids The World Village. From November 13 - January 3, the Village will be blanketed in 3 million lights, and YOU have the opportunity to see the lights when the 84-acre Village opens its doors to the public!
For years, I've been visiting the Village through events with Hearts of Reality, but for my own family, this week was the first chance we had to visit this very special place together. Since 1986, the Village has been a nonprofit resort that has provided week-long, cost-free vacations to critically ill children and their families. Sadly, the Village was forced to temporarily close its doors in March at the beginning of the pandemic, and Night of A Million Lights has been designed to raise funds to ensure that the wishes of critically ill children can return bigger and better than ever before once the time is right to reopen!
Night of A Million Lights will be a socially-distanced event, and masks will be required while guests are on Village property. With space limited for each night, tickets are expected to sell out quickly. Purchase your tickets while they are still available: https://www.gktw.org/lights/
If you are interested in giving back to this wonderful organization in a different way, there are still shifts available to help setup the lights, and there are shifts to actually help with volunteering throughout the event itself. To learn more about volunteer opportunities with Give Kids the World, please visit: https://www.gktw.org/volunteer/
Give Kids the World has done so much in the way of creating so many beautiful memories for so many families. I sincerely hope that you take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime type of experience, and create a very special memory of your own this holiday season!!
