(House of Blues, Lake Buena Vista FL) Tonight in Disney Springs, things sounded very differently than the norm, as metalcore band Born of Osiris served as the front act of a 3-band show also featuring fellow metalcore bands Hanabie. and Jinjer.
This was my first time to hear Born of Osiris, and they were impressive. Formed just outside of Chicago, this group has been around for more than 20 years, but having performed under different names, they finally landed on the current name in 2007.
Nick Rossi (Bass), Lee McKinney (guitar), and Cameron (Losch) per in perfect unison as they had a very powerful and driving sound, almost militant in precision and coordination with one another. Ronnie Canizaro (vocals) did very well to amp up the crowd, and delivered well on the title of frontman as he was energetic and drew in the crowd.
They are heavy and their music hits with authority. Solid performance.
