(Orlando FL) A Gift For Teaching closed out another celebratory year via its fun-filled 'Back to School Blast' at the fabulous Rosen Shingle Creek Resort.
Throughout the year A Gift For Teaching (AGFT) provides FREE school supplies to teachers for their students in need. This not-for-profit organization relies heavily on the generous support from community partners and friends in order to service the nearly 350 public schools in the central Florida community.
With hundreds in attendance, the Back to School Blast event was MC'd by special celebrity guest CHRIS KIRKPATRICK (N'SYNC) whose genuine passion for the organization was clearly evident as he mingled with all guests throughout the evening. Members of the energetic Orlando Magic Blue Crew, each donning super-hero attire, made sure to make everyone's photo opp was a memorable one, keeping things lively and entertaining. With its wonderful youth-based musical orchestra, AGFT maintained the exciting, yet formal, setting in the main corridor of the resort's exhibit hall where attendees could bid on beautiful silent auction items. As guests entered the main room of the event, they could engage a wide variety of larger-than-life Jenga and Chess games, compete with one another on the cornhole boards, or engage one another in a classroom setting as they raised their hands racing to answer the questions in a gameshow-style frenzy. The evening culminated with Chris Kirkpatrick driving cell-phone texting donors to amass more than $30,000!!!
